What Should I Pay Attention To During Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a physiological event and it will not affect your life negatively unless there is a problem or a complication. To make sure that you have a healthy and normal pregnancy  you should consult a specialist. You should avoid drinking alcohol and smoking during pregnancy. Beverages which contain caffeine such as coffee, tea and coke can be consumed but only in small amounts. Apart from that, there is no harm seen in doing the following :

  • Sexual intercourse
  • Exercise
  • Make-up
  • Swimming in the sea or the swimming pools
  • Sun bathing
  • Using a computer
  • Using a mobile phone
  • Using a microwave oven
  • Passing through security gates
  • Driving a car
  • To travel by plane (You will need a report from the doctor after the 26th week of pregnancy)

One of the important issues in pregnancy is a healthy diet. It is extremely important that you have a healthy and balanced diet. You do not need extra calories during this period. You should avoid unhealthy oils, fried food, pastries, desserts and fast food. These do not contain any useful substances for your baby. You should consume plenty of vegetables and fruit.
